An Evening of Music

On Tuesday 15th October 2013 the Music Department hosted "An Evening of Music" in the intimate venue of Drama2.  We had a stage, lights, performers and a very warm and wonderful audience  made up of parents and friends.   Several of the school’s finest musicians treated us to some wonderful music on the evening.  A variety of students and instruments could be heard on the night.  Highlights were Philip Norman on the cello, Chloe Elliott on the flute and Joe Cross on the heavy metal  guitar.  Leon Tolkovsky stole the show at the end with an amazing piano performance

Record Breaking Examination Results

Congratulations to all the students, staff and parents on the excellent results achieved this summer.  The five A*-C pass rate, including English and Maths, stands at 71%, with 92% of students achieving five A*-C grades.  This reflects a tremendous two year commitment from all those involved.

We wish everyone well as they move on with the next stage of their journey.

Feeling Good Week

Year 7 students have recently taken part in ‘Feeling Good Week’, an initiative run by Surrey CAMHS to promote emotional health and wellbeing. The theme this year was ‘Extraordinary You’ and aimed for young people to celebrate their various talents and how unique they are. This was accompanied by a competition to reflect the theme and allow students to showcase their talents in any creative way they wished. Our students certainly showed off their skills with a broad array of entries; from poems to short stories, posters to sculptures. The best 12 entries have been sent off to a countywide competition to be drawn over the Summer holidays….fingers crossed!
