Thursday at Jamie's Farm - Long walks, rugby and roast dinner

Thursday has been another active day, starting with the making of eggy bread and pancakes for breakfast.  Some students have been helping with germinating seedlings, cutting wood for flower beds, making a frame for vegetables to stop the chickens eating everything and cutting wood for the evening fire.

Everyone went on a long walk up the hills, followed by a game of rugby and a lovely roast dinner.  Tomorrow is our last day and everyone will be sad to come home.

Wednesday at Jamie's Farm

After a lovely Fish and Chips meal last night everyone went to bed with the knowledge that the mountain hike was to come!

Activities today have started early with Leah helping to deliver a lamb, Mr Davis taking 2 students to the market to sell some of the livestock and a number of students being involved in wood carving and spatula making.  This afternoon everyone was really for the challenge of a hike up the black mountains followed by another lovely evening meal.

Jamie's Farm visit - Tuesday April 26th

The students arrived on the Farm at 3pm yesterday after an excellent journey in the school mini bus.  A tour around the farm was followed by feeding the sheep and lambs, leading the horses around and looking after the chickens.

A good 4 mile walk in the evening was followed by showers and Spaghetti Bolognese for tea, early to bed for an early 7am rise.

Today they have been mucking out and feeding the pigs, sheep and chickens and some of the students have been mending fences.  Weather has been sunny but cold with some snow today.
